doors and windows.

- DeckCAD automates the design and layout of straight, skewed, and lapped
deck for flat, sloped, and/or barrel vaulted deck coverage areas.
DeckCAD
calculates the number and length of pieces and then draws and labels the
pieces.
- DeckCAD includes many labeling options so the user can customize the
layout to suite their special needs. Labeling features include the ability to
mark each piece by a unique number, area label, and sequence.
- A Detail Manager function provides 80 of the Steel Deck Institute (SDI)
Standard Practice Details for Composite, Non-Composite, Form deck and Steel
Roof Deck systems in AutoCAD Drawing format. Important features of the SDI
Detail Manager function are:
- All details are displayed in a catalog format. The user selects by
detail name or slide view from a dialog box on screen. In other words, you
"see what you get" before you insert the detail in the drawing.
- All details contain industry standard layer names and properties, text
font styles, and hatch patterns.
- All details automatically adjust to paperspace or model space so that
they are at the correct size and scale for plotting.
- Text and symbology match across all details at any scale.
- All details can be readily modified by the user to meet new code
requirements and standards for fabrication and/or construction.
- The Detail Manager function provides for user input of new details.
- The DeckCAD Report Generator creates a cut list inventory of all deck
components. The output may be viewed in a dialog box or formatted as an
ASCII text file. The file may be imported to your favorite Word Processor,
Spreadsheet, or Database for direct printing or additional enhancements.
